Buyer/Planner – Procurement & Production Planning

About the role

Confluent Medical Technologies is seeking a motivated Buyer/Planner to join its Costa Rica team. The role combines procurement responsibilities with production planning to ensure seamless material flow, cost control, and on‑time delivery for high‑precision medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Procure materials, equipment, supplies, and services while balancing cost, quality, delivery, and inventory objectives.
• Manage supplier relationships, evaluate capabilities, and support contract negotiations.
• Develop and maintain production plans and schedules based on capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
• Coordinate production control activities, including job releases, order status, and schedule adherence.
• Identify supply‑chain risks, drive continuous improvement, and apply root‑cause problem solving.
• Align materials management and production planning with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain objectives.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement, supplier management, and production planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data for decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
• Willingness to travel to the United States and obtain necessary visas if required.
