Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Videndum is seeking a proactive Buyer to support its manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and purchasing the raw materials, components and services needed to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components and services.
• Issue and manage purchase orders according to production needs and inventory levels.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost and on‑time delivery.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality and Logistics to ensure material availability.
• Resolve delays, shortages or quality issues with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and update ERP/MRP systems.
• Support new product introductions, project transfers and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Videndum’s procurement policies and assist in supplier audits.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good understanding of supply‑chain processes and inventory management.
• Effective communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., IFS or similar).
