Buyer – Procurement Specialist for Manufacturing

About the role

Videndum is seeking an experienced Buyer to support its manufacturing operations in Cartago, Costa Rica. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing the materials, components, and services needed to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
• Issue and manage purchase orders based on production plans and inventory levels.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and on‑time delivery.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to ensure material availability.
• Support new product introductions and project transfers.
• Track and resolve supplier‑related issues such as delays or shortages.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage supplier relationships.
