Buyer Associate – Global Procurement Shared Services

About the role

The Buyer Associate supports North American and LATAM procurement teams by handling operational purchasing tasks, compliance checks, and project assignments. Working onsite at Amazon's SJO11 building in San José, you will become the first point of contact for core shared‑services workstreams such as PR2PO approval, catalog maintenance, help‑desk support, vendor onboarding and BPOC.

Key responsibilities

• Perform PR2PO compliance checks and approve purchase requisitions.
• Support purchase order transmission, delivery queries and proof‑of‑delivery accuracy.
• Maintain catalog data and assist internal stakeholders through the help‑desk.
• Ensure adherence to Amazon’s Spending and Transaction Policy and global procurement processes.
• Meet service level agreements (SLAs) and work‑stream KPIs for standard tasks.
• Participate in cross‑functional improvement projects and meet assigned project targets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer‑service or related experience.
• Legally authorized to work in Costa Rica.
• Flexibility to work shifts between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
