Bilingual Registered Nurse – Residential Addiction Treatment

About the role

Costa Rica Recovery is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to join its 24/7 residential addiction treatment program. The role focuses on client safety during detoxification, medication‑assisted treatment, and ongoing health monitoring in a bilingual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments and monitor clients throughout detox and medication‑assisted treatment (MAT).
• Administer, document, and ensure safe handling of all medications.
• Record vital signs, recognize changes in client condition, and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, counselors, and operational staff to develop individualized care plans.
• Maintain complete clinical documentation in line with IAFA standards.
• Support emergency response and follow established safety protocols.
• Participate in 24/7 shift coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required profile

• Active nursing license in Costa Rica (incorporación al Colegio de Enfermeras de Costa Rica).
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Clinical experience in patient care; experience in behavioral health, detox, or addiction treatment is a strong advantage.
• Strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgment, and reliable documentation habits.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule covering 24/7 operations.
