Lead Analyst – Analytics & Intelligence

About the role

Roche is seeking a Lead Analyst to join its RSS Business Analytics team in Costa Rica. You will act as a strategic analytics partner for therapy area leads, delivering end‑to‑end commercial analytics and translating data into actionable business narratives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive execution of complex pharma commercial initiatives such as brand performance, disease market overviews, patient adherence, payer mix and marketing ROI.
• Serve as an embedded analytics advisor to Therapy Area leads and insights managers, turning market dynamics into strategic recommendations.
• Synthesize data analyses into persuasive presentations for senior executives.
• Coach junior analysts and interns on best practices, domain knowledge and data structuring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Costa Rica, the US and India, adapting to overlapping time zones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.).
• 5–8 years of analytics or consulting experience, including 4–6 years in pharma, biotech or healthcare analytics.
• Deep expertise in US pharma commercial operations and secondary datasets (IQVIA, claims, Veeva, field interaction data).
• Experience in therapeutic areas such as Oncology, Neurology or Immunology.
• Must be based in Costa Rica or have valid work authorization for San José.
