Bilingual Payroll Tax Specialist

About the role

The Payroll Tax Specialist will ensure accurate tax compliance across multiple states and entities on a pay‑period basis. This bilingual position acts as the subject‑matter expert for payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliation, working closely with finance, HRIS, and third‑party tax vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, reconcile and support multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll tax compliance each pay period.
• Serve as SME for tax filings (e.g., 941, W‑2), reporting and reconciliation with third‑party tax vendors and agencies.
• Prepare quarter‑end and year‑end tax reporting, including W‑2 preparation.
• Track legislative changes, tax rule updates and recommend process or technology improvements.
• Maintain payroll‑related tax accounts within the vendor environment and collaborate on account structure changes.
• Perform internal audits of payroll tax data and support external audit requests.
• Address tax exceptions, resolve issues with payroll managers and vendors, and represent the tax team on special projects.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency (English and another language).
• Experience in payroll tax compliance within a multi‑state or multi‑entity environment.
• FPC or CPP designation preferred.
• Strong collaboration skills with Finance, HRIS and payroll teams.
