About the role
We are looking for a bilingual Payroll Tax Specialist to oversee tax compliance across multiple states and entities on a pay‑period basis. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for payroll tax filings, reporting, and reconciliation, working closely with finance, accounting, and third‑party tax vendors.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor, reconcile and support payroll tax compliance after each pay period.
- Prepare and review statutory tax filings (e.g., 941s, W‑2s) and related notices.
- Collaborate with Finance on payroll tax accruals, journal entries, and account structure revisions.
- Maintain tax accounts within third‑party tax vendor software and create specialized tax reports.
- Perform internal audits of payroll tax data and support external audit requirements.
- Stay current on legislative changes, tax equalization rules, and payroll control procedures.
- Represent the Payroll Tax team on special projects and research initiatives.
Required profile
- Bilingual proficiency (English and a second language).
- Experience with multi‑state, multi‑entity payroll tax compliance.
- FPC or CPP designation preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
