About the role

The HR Representative will provide administrative and operational support to employees and managers across Amex GBT, ensuring smooth HR processes and positive employee experiences. This remote position serves the Costa Rica region and works closely with HRIS, payroll, benefits and employee relations teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve HR, payroll, benefits, and Workday questions, documenting all interactions in the HR system.
  • Partner with HRIS, HRBPs, payroll, benefits, and employee relations to escalate complex tickets and concerns.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on offer processes and assist with recruiting system troubleshooting.
  • Execute employee and leader transactions within Workday.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of HR processes and procedures across all supported countries in the region.
  • Review own work and that of others to ensure quality, accuracy, and relevance.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders, influencing and connecting with colleagues and employees.
  • Assist with gathering and updating information for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality of all employee information.
  • Support special HR initiatives and company‑wide projects as needed.

Required profile

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in HR, Workday, payroll or benefits.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office.
  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting remote employee populations or shared‑service environments.
  • Passion for client service and proactive problem solving.
