Associate Systems Engineer

About the role

As an Associate Systems Engineer based in Heredia, you will support the Systems Engineering organization by helping customers adopt and manage a portfolio of technology solutions. The position combines technical assistance, data collection, and collaboration with sales and service teams to ensure successful product deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Validate configurations for sales opportunities and assist internal teams.
• Collect and analyze data to develop sales plays and lifecycle management programs.
• Use sizing tools to design product performance solutions that meet customer expectations.
• Participate in account planning and contribute to solution designs, taking lead on simple designs when appropriate.
• Deliver basic demonstrations, system configurations, and technical answers to prospects and customers.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Customer Support, Professional Services, Renewal, Sales Operations, and Order Management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technology‑focused environment.
• Strong verbal communication, professional phone presence and ability to listen actively.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks in real‑time.
• Willingness to travel domestically (5‑10 %) and relocate after promotion.

Required skills

• Knowledge of storage architectures such as Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NAS, OSD and SAN.
• Experience with Salesforce.com.
• Familiarity with VMware, Windows, UNIX/Linux, AIX and NFS file systems.
