Associate Clinical Programmer

About the role

The Associate Clinical Programmer will support the design, build, and maintenance of clinical data systems used in research studies. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure data integrity, generate insights, and deliver compliant reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build, integrate, and maintain clinical databases, including study setup, data transformations, and edit checks.
• Support development and testing of clinical technology solutions such as EDC, RTSM, and eCOA/ePRO.
• Implement and validate data logic, derivations, and dynamic rules.
• Create and maintain reporting assets (dashboards, listings, visualizations) and simple data models.
• Perform unit and integration testing, document test cases, log defects, and manage releases under change control.
• Troubleshoot data ingestion issues, optimize queries, and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Collaborate with GDMS and other partners to clarify requirements, support UAT, and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in clinical data programming, data engineering, or related clinical operations.
• Strong English communication skills (minimum B2 level).

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in one programming language: Python, SQL, SAS, or R.
• Familiarity with data collection, integration, transformation, reporting, and visualization.
• Experience with scripting/automation tools for data ingestion and report generation.
• Ability to build simple dashboards and queries.
• Foundational unit/integration testing and defect‑logging skills.
• Understanding of SDLC, change control, traceability, and GCP principles.
