Project Specialist II – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

The Project Specialist II supports the project manager in executing large integration projects and independently manages specific workstreams or smaller projects. This 12‑month fixed‑term position is based in Boston Scientific’s Costa Rica Global Hub and follows a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Support detailed project planning for major projects, product/process transfers, and strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate activities of Boston Scientific allocated project resources and manage dependencies, critical‑path items, and project quality.
• Develop and maintain project documentation such as meeting notes, decision logs, risk matrices, and terms and conditions.
• Prepare project status updates, conduct post‑mortem reviews and communicate lessons learned.
• Identify and escalate obstacles, propose process improvements and introduce new tools such as Power Apps or Power BI.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience leading or managing projects, preferably in the medical device industry.
• 2 years of experience in data management and technology systems implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Data analysis.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft tools, especially Power Apps, Power BI, and Excel.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
