About the role
The Director of Portfolio & Resource Operations leads Global Data Management and Standards (GDMS) Clinical Data Management (CDM) in capacity planning, resource forecasting and portfolio performance. The role ensures standardized metrics, tools and processes to provide senior leadership with reliable, actionable insights for strategic decision‑making.
Key responsibilities
- Consolidate functional inputs to produce accurate demand forecasts and refine allocation algorithms for timely delivery of the Book of Business.
- Design, validate and operate capacity and portfolio models, integrating performance, financial and resource data for long‑range planning.
- Drive productivity improvements, business case development, cost‑benefit analysis and value realization using process‑engineering tools.
- Implement standardized forecasting tools, dashboards and visualisations across the enterprise.
- Lead operating‑model optimisation, translate outcomes into action plans and track implementation.
- Define and govern operational metrics, set yearly objectives and monitor progress.
- Improve accuracy, timeliness and automation of operations data pipelines; trigger root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise for automation, AI and digital solutions supporting Portfolio and Resource Operations.
- Coordinate resource and financial forecasting, contracting and invoicing, ensuring data integrity and publishing reconciled views.
- Establish continuity frameworks for peak volumes, holiday coverage and geographic demand shifts.
Required profile
- Proven leadership experience in portfolio, capacity or resource operations within Clinical Data Management or a related scientific/health‑care environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent cross‑functional and global collaboration skills.
- Track record of implementing standardized metrics, dashboards and automation initiatives.
- Ability to drive process optimisation and manage large‑scale operational change.
