Assembly Operator I – Production & Quality

About the role
The Assembly Operator I joins Cardinal Health Manufacturing’s production team, performing a mix of repetitive and non‑repetitive tasks to build component parts, sub‑assemblies, and finished units. The role focuses on adhering to standard operating procedures, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set up workstations according to Captain/Designee instructions while following GMPs, company policies, and safety rules.
- Assemble product packages following DHR, special instructions, and video imaging guidelines.
- Verify components during assembly to meet quantity and quality standards.
- Inspect components for debris or defects and report findings to management and the quality team.
- Document and investigate defects using the NCI & Defect Investigation Form process.
- Operate equipment that packages materials or fills containers.
Required profile
- 0‑1 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to apply basic skills and techniques to routine tasks.
- Willingness to work under close supervision and follow clearly defined SOPs.
- Commitment to quality guidelines and safety regulations.
