Assembly Operator I

About the role
The Assembly Operator I joins Cardinal Health Manufacturing to support the production of component assemblies and finished units. Working on a regulated production line, the associate follows standard operating procedures, conducts quality inspections, and helps maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Set up workstations according to Captain/Designee instructions while complying with GMPs, policies and safety rules.
- Assemble product packages following DHR, special instructions and video imaging guidelines.
- Verify components for correct selection, quantity and quality standards.
- Inspect components for debris or defects and report issues to management and the quality team.
- Document and investigate defects using the NCI & Defect Investigation Form process.
- Perform duties in compliance with all local, state, federal and company safety regulations.
Required profile
- 0‑1 years of production or assembly experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to follow clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures.
- Works under close supervision with all work reviewed for accuracy.
- Maintains required licenses, training and certifications.
Required skills
- GMP compliance knowledge.
- Familiarity with DHR (Device History Record) documentation.
- Operation of video imaging equipment for assembly verification.
- Quality inspection techniques.
