AI Systems Lead

About the role

Sustain Media is looking for an AI Systems Lead to design, build, and maintain the internal automation tools that power our SEO and Google Ads services. You will translate team ideas into reliable systems and continuously improve our AI agent Viktor.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with SEO, Ads, and client success teams to gather user stories, whiteboard solutions, and deliver functional builds.
• Connect and extend tools such as Airtable, Slack, Google Ads, and LLM APIs using custom code, n8n or Zapier.
• Enhance Viktor’s performance by refining prompts, workflows, and model selection, and harden new agents with tests and monitoring.
• Make architecture decisions, document choices, and ensure data structures scale with growth.
• Implement reliability measures: testing, logging, alerts, and data validation.

Required profile

• Proven experience building production‑grade automations that teams rely on.
• Full‑stack mindset with ability to handle front‑end and back‑end validation, authentication, and safety.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, able to ask the right questions and explain solutions to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working remotely and delivering end‑to‑end solutions without extensive supervision.
