AI Engineer

About the role

Join Harris' new AI engineering team in Costa Rica to develop production AI features for healthcare and revenue cycle workflows. You will work alongside senior AI engineers and have a clear path to a senior position within 12‑18 months.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI agents and workflows using LangChain/LangGraph, including tool calling and state management.
• Develop Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools and servers that connect agents to CareTracker data and services.
• Implement features on the AI gateway (LiteLLM) and API gateway such as model routing, rate limiting, authentication, and logging.
• Add tracing and evaluation to agent pipelines with OpenTelemetry and Langfuse.

Required profile

• 2+ years of software development experience, including Python and .NET (C#) coding.
• Experience building REST APIs, using Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Interest in healthcare with willingness to learn HIPAA, PHI, and interoperability standards.
