AI and Data Applications Engineer

About the role

As an AI and Data Applications Engineer you will help shape Cisco's technology landscape by designing, building, and optimizing intelligent applications that improve customer and partner experiences. You will work across multi‑functional teams, integrating AI/ML capabilities into scalable platforms such as Salesforce and modern backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop AI‑driven web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
• Implement server‑side components with Java, Python or Node.js, exposing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Architect and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases and micro‑service architectures.
• Integrate third‑party systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with secure authentication (OAuth, JWT).
• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver high‑quality code and continuously improve system performance.
• Leverage AI tools such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development and embed predictive analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience developing enterprise‑grade web or cloud applications.
• Fluency in English and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working in cross‑functional, Agile environments.
