About the role
The Accounting GL Analyst supports core Record to Report activities within a global shared services environment. You will maintain the general ledger, execute month‑end close processes and ensure accurate financial records for statutory and management reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and ledger maintenance.
- Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
- Perform balance‑sheet, bank and intercompany reconciliations.
- Support fixed‑asset accounting, lease accounting and inventory valuation.
- Maintain and update Chart of Accounts master data.
- Assist with statutory reporting, segment reporting and financial statement preparation.
- Provide documentation for internal and external audits and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in RTR processes.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Experience in Record to Report, General Ledger accounting or shared services.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
- Familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP and statutory reporting.
- Fluent in English; additional Portuguese or Canadian French is a plus.
Required skills
- ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
