Accounting & Bookkeeping Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting & Bookkeeping Manager to lead a portfolio of small and medium‑sized business clients across Latin America. You will own the client relationship, oversee full‑cycle accounting, and collaborate with a dedicated bookkeeper to deliver accurate financial statements and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SMB clients, handling month‑end close, reconciliations, accruals and working papers.
• Prepare and file GST/HST and sales tax returns accurately and on time.
• Review financial statements and explain results to business owners.
• Maintain and optimise accounting and fintech integrations (e.g., Stripe, Dext, Plooto, Ramp).
• Collaborate with a supporting bookkeeper to ensure clean and timely books.
• Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and workflow.

Required profile

• Strong accounting and bookkeeping experience with SMB clients.
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Xero.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue and fixed assets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading client calls.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace.
• Nice to have CPA designation.
