Accountant – Record to Report (R2R)

About the role

DHL Express is looking for an Accountant to join its Record to Report (R2R) team in Heredia, Costa Rica. The role supports accounting processes for the Americas, ensuring high‑quality data and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and post accounting entries.
• Review and analyze account balances.
• Process receivable and payable transactions.
• Respond to accounting inquiries from countries.
• Reconcile accounts and follow up open items to resolution.
• Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information.
• Support audit requests and prepare related documentation.
• Liaise with regional and SSC teams to ensure accurate processing and reporting.
• Execute and document controls for the accounting process.
• Identify and implement process improvements where possible.

Required profile

• Technical degree in Accounting or related field (or currently pursuing).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting processes.
• Strong knowledge of Record to Report (R2R) processes and full accounting cycle.
• Proficiency in SAP (preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Full professional proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
