Academic Vice Principal

About the role

The Academic Vice Principal will act as a close, supportive presence for students, teachers, and families within a trilingual IB Continuum World School that follows Montessori methodology and holds COGNIA accreditation. The role blends day‑to‑day community engagement with strategic collaboration on academic excellence initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany students throughout their school experience, ensuring holistic well‑being and addressing individual needs.
• Support the teaching team through classroom observations, constructive feedback, and daily guidance.
• Listen to families with empathy, maintain transparency, and provide solution‑oriented follow‑up on concerns.
• Collaborate with academic directors on administrative and campus management matters.
• Assist in the implementation of academic excellence initiatives and support COGNIA evaluation and accreditation processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in academic leadership or coordination, preferably within IB schools.
• Strong knowledge of IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP).
• Fluent in Spanish and English (C1 level or higher).
• Experience in teacher support and family relations.
• Desirable experience or training in Montessori methodology and COGNIA accreditation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IB curriculum frameworks.
• Familiarity with Montessori educational practices.
