TnF Manager Systems / Software

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an onsite TnF Manager Systems / Software in Heredia, Costa Rica, who will primarily work from an HPE office. The role leads the design, development and support of software tools, frameworks and automation that speed up the ASIC/SDK and post-silicon engineering lifecycle, and oversees applications, web UIs, services, traffic generation platforms, hardware reservation and provisioning systems, CI/CD pipelines and lab infrastructure. It manages a team of software engineers from junior to senior level.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, mentor and develop a team of software engineers, including hiring, onboarding, performance management and career growth.
• Own the team roadmap for tools, applications, test infrastructure and automation, aligned with ASIC/SDK and post-silicon priorities.
• Lead a portfolio of concurrent projects such as traffic generation frameworks, hardware reservation and provisioning tools, regression dashboards, CI/CD pipelines and lab automation, balancing new development with operational support.
• Give technical direction on architecture, design reviews and engineering best practices so solutions are scalable, reliable and maintainable.
• Work with internal partners (SDK, Post-Silicon, ASIC, Mechanical Engineering and Hardware) to gather requirements, set priorities and resolve cross-team issues.
• Oversee lab and server infrastructure across multiple sites, including container-orchestrated resources, development environments and capacity planning.
• Manage resources and budget, including hardware and infrastructure procurement, vendor coordination and resource justification.
• Report project status, risks and business impact to senior management and stakeholders.
• Promote continuous improvement and cost savings through in-house solutions that reduce reliance on external tools and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Typically 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2-3 years leading or managing engineering teams.
• English communication skills.

Required skills

• Software development (Python preferred; C valued, Rust a plus).
• DevOps and infrastructure: CI/CD (Jenkins), Git/GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux servers.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (L2/L3, traffic generation, packet flows) and ASIC/SDK or post-silicon test environments.
• Project and portfolio management, and strong people leadership skills.
