Sr LMS Functional Specialist - Absorb & Cornerstone

About the role

A global organization is looking for a senior learning management systems functional specialist to own the complex configuration, optimization and governance of its Absorb and Cornerstone On Demand platforms. The role partners with business and manufacturing stakeholders to turn training needs into scalable LMS solutions that support workforce capability and operational excellence in hybrid work environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end functional configuration of Absorb and Cornerstone On Demand to deliver digital learning reliably across a global hybrid workforce.
• Work with business and HR stakeholders to gather learning requirements and turn them into scalable LMS workflows.
• Optimize course structures, curricula, certification tracks and learning plans to improve engagement, completion rates and reporting accuracy.
• Administer user roles, groups and permissions to keep access secure and aligned with policy and audit needs.
• Configure and support integrations with HR tools, content repositories and communication channels.
• Monitor performance, usage analytics and learner feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain standardized processes for content publishing, catalog management, version control and archival.
• Advise instructional designers and subject matter experts on LMS best practices, including enrollments, notifications and assessments.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis and coordinate with vendor support teams.
• Create training and job aids for administrators, instructors and learners, and document configurations, governance rules and change procedures.
• Align LMS roadmaps with industrial manufacturing training needs, including safety, quality and regulatory learning.
• Coordinate day-shift hybrid collaboration across global teams using virtual tools.

Required profile

• 8 to 12 years of experience in LMS functional roles.
• Extensive experience configuring and optimizing Absorb LMS and deep expertise in Cornerstone On Demand.
• Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to work with cross-functional teams and vendors in a hybrid model without travel.
