Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the lead teacher in a bilingual (Spanish‑English) preschool environment. The role focuses on fostering cognitive, social, and emotional development for children aged 3‑5 while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in delivering bilingual educational activities.
• Reinforce instructions and concepts in both Spanish and English.
• Prepare and organize bilingual teaching materials.
• Encourage the use of English during daily routines.
• Supervise children at all times, supporting hygiene and nutrition habits.
• Maintain classroom order, cleanliness, and safety.
• Help with basic record‑keeping and school event coordination.
• Facilitate communication with parents and guardians.

Required profile

• Technical degree or current student in Preschool Education or related field (preferred).
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1‑B2).
• Previous experience working with young children (desired).
• Knowledge of child development and basic first‑aid (desired).
• Strong service orientation, patience, empathy, teamwork, effective communication, creativity, and proactivity.
