Supplier QA Engineer II

About the role

The Supplier QA Engineer II drives quality improvements and corrective actions for components sourced from external suppliers. The role provides technical support for supplier selection, develops material acceptance criteria, and monitors supplier performance to address manufacturing yield issues and field failures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess potential new suppliers for technical, quality, and manufacturing capabilities.
• Generate and maintain incoming inspection procedures and train inspectors.
• Develop or source inspection tools and equipment.
• Create component specifications, test protocols, and qualification reports.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on new component technology and reliability analysis.
• Analyze incoming material defects, drive corrective actions, and communicate issues to suppliers.
• Review design specifications for quality and manufacturability.
• Investigate field failures related to supplier materials and develop corrective action plans.
• Support new product development and review supplier documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Chemical, Industrial, Electronic, Biotechnology, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar supplier quality role.
• Preferred: ASQ certification and strong problem‑solving communication skills.

• Experience managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR) and Non‑Conforming Products (NCP)
