Posting Specialist

About the role

The Posting Specialist will support Comfort Medical’s billing operations by accurately posting daily accounts receivable from Medicare, commercial insurers, and patients. This role requires strong knowledge of payor coverage criteria and the ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily accounts receivable electronically or on paper according to company protocol.
• Interpret AR balances and make appropriate adjustments following accounting principles.
• Gather and verify payor payment policies to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Collect necessary documentation for payments and adjustments.
• Communicate system or procedural issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Document all actions in the billing system and CRM.
• Collaborate with the Collections department to resolve outstanding patient balances.

Required profile

• High school diploma.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Minimum three years of experience in medical billing and payment posting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and billing codes.
• Ability to read and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a plus.
