Supervisor Manufacturing III – Temporary 6‑Month Shift B

About the role

AbbVie is seeking a Supervisor Manufacturing III for a six‑month fixed‑term assignment on Shift B. The role focuses on efficiently managing resources, product control, and continuous improvement across assigned production lines while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Control work‑in‑process product across all assigned lines to meet priorities and identify constraints.
• Monitor production‑line results to ensure alignment with the Production Plan.
• Evaluate and implement procedural changes, First Article and First Shipment First Article updates, and other process‑improvement initiatives to reduce operating costs.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert for assigned lines, clarifying procedures and providing project support.
• Coordinate production capacity with the Logistics department and support external/internal audits.
• Lead departmental improvement initiatives such as SWAT and Operating Supplies projects.
• Investigate deviations, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage timely disposition of held material in accordance with the quality system.
• Provide HR support for onboarding, position changes, and employee motivation.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and legal EHS requirements.

Required profile

• Experience supervising manufacturing personnel (up to 20‑25 employees).
• Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead process‑improvement initiatives and cross‑functional teams.
• Effective problem‑solving skills to investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Capability to support audits and act as SME for assigned production lines.
