Supervisor Contable

About the role

Coprodesa is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead and coordinate the internal accounting processes. The role ensures accurate financial recording, timely month‑end closings, reconciliations, and compliance with tax obligations for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Coordinate monthly closing procedures and prepare financial statements.
• Review balance‑sheet accounts, profit‑and‑loss accounts and auxiliary ledgers.
• Conduct cash and inventory counts, and oversee temporary accounts and reserve invoice processes.
• Record and reconcile financial liabilities and support payroll processing for CCSS and INS.
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, amortization and cost allocations.
• Lead tax declaration processes and ensure adherence to statutory deadlines.
• Guide and follow up with the team of accounting assistants.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors and relevant authorities as needed.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting (minimum bachelor’s, licentiate preferred).
• Membership in the professional accounting body is desirable.
• At least 3 years of experience in supervisory or coordination roles within accounting.
• Strong technical knowledge of general accounting, month‑end closings, reconciliations and tax filings.
• Familiarity with IFRS (NIIF) and local accounting standards (NIC).
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, organized and capable of leading a team.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP accounting modules (preferred).
• Solid command of the Microsoft Office suite.
