Software Engineer – Azure PostgreSQL

About the role

Microsoft’s Azure PostgreSQL team is expanding its portfolio and seeks a Software Engineer to build the next generation of database offerings. You will develop foundational platform capabilities that power Azure PostgreSQL and other open‑source database services, working closely with customers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement code for new products, services, or features, reusing existing components where appropriate.
• Contribute to automation efforts for production and deployment of complex product features.
• Conduct experiments and prototype testing to evaluate changes, applying findings to improve development.
• Collaborate with customers to understand needs, make data‑driven decisions, and deliver impactful solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work autonomously.
