Senior SOX Compliance Analyst

About the role

Workday is seeking a naturally curious audit professional to join its SOX and Internal Controls team as a Senior SOX Compliance Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, SOX Compliance, you will help assess and build efficient business and IT controls that mitigate financial reporting risk.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure SOX compliance across a complex, dynamic business environment.
• Coordinate updates to key financial reporting documentation, including Risk and Control Matrices, process flowcharts, work papers, and report populations.
• Assess and document the design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls.
• Collaborate with management and internal‑controls teams to evaluate business and IT processes.
• Develop deep knowledge of Workday technology and advise on internal‑control implications of new functionality.
• Prepare written and verbal communications to convey findings and recommendations.
• Apply strong project‑management skills to drive control‑environment improvements.
• Investigate and resolve auditor and process‑owner queries.

Required profile

• Senior‑level audit or compliance professional with proven SOX experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and curiosity about business processes.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated project‑management capability.
