Senior Python Data Engineer

About the role

3Pillar Global is looking for a Senior Python Data Engineer to design and operationalize data pipelines for scientific laboratory instruments. You will work on building robust data models, parsers, and visualisation tools that enable clients in biotech and related sectors to extract value from complex datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop custom file parsers for formats such as .xlsx.pdf.txt.raw.fid and proprietary binaries.
• Architect scalable data models and end‑to‑end pipelines with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Perform comparative analysis of datasets to create reusable, extensible data model components.
• Build visualisations, reports and interactive dashboards using Streamlit, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook and similar tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• 3+ years of hands‑on Python and SQL development focused on data processing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to drive project delivery.
