Senior Fullstack Engineer

About the role

SimSpace is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to create the operator experience for its internet simulation platform. You will translate complex control‑plane capabilities into intuitive React and TypeScript workflows while also contributing to backend services when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the web‑based operator UI using React and TypeScript.
• Translate complex platform operations (range setup, persona registration, topology changes) into clear, observable user experiences.
• Develop reusable frontend components, forms, validation, error handling, and long‑running operation UI patterns.
• Integrate the frontend with the control‑plane API, handling authentication, authorization, validation, and real‑time status updates.
• Collaborate with the backend engineer on API design, data models, and supporting endpoints.
• Implement state‑management and data‑fetching strategies for a multi‑tenant, event‑driven environment.
• Write automated unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests to ensure workflow stability.
• Improve performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability as the product scales.
• Help establish frontend standards, code‑review practices, observability, and release processes.

Required profile

• Strong experience building production web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to design complex operator or administrative interfaces.
• Deep knowledge of frontend architecture, component design, state management, routing, and error handling.
• Experience integrating frontends with RESTful or similar APIs.
• Understanding of asynchronous, distributed‑system behavior and how to represent it in the UI.
• Backend development experience, preferably with Kotlin and Spring Boot, or ability to become productive quickly.
• Solid testing practices across unit, component, integration, and end‑to‑end levels.
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and secure frontend development.
