Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

About the role

Lumenalta is looking for a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer with a strong DevSecOps mindset to join a high‑impact cloud platform engagement. The role focuses on building secure CI/CD pipelines, hardening GCP infrastructure in multi‑tenant environments, and operationalizing Vertex AI workloads within a complex cross‑cloud topology.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security gates, policy enforcement, and compliance checks.
• Architect and manage GKE/Kubernetes environments, including multi‑tenant cluster configuration and Workload Identity Federation.
• Provision and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform, supporting project‑per‑tenant setups and environment parity.
• Operationalize Vertex AI for long‑running batch jobs, handling scheduling, monitoring, and failure recovery.
• Design cross‑cloud networking using Partner Interconnect, Identity‑Aware Proxy, and firewall topology for hybrid connectivity.
• Lead pre‑production security hardening and deploy API gateways (Cloud Endpoints, Apigee) with authentication and rate‑limiting.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and cost‑optimization practices to ensure reliability and FinOps accountability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define platform standards and reduce operational overhead.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional DevOps or platform engineering experience, primarily on GCP.
• Hands‑on senior‑level experience with Google Kubernetes Engine and Terraform.
• Demonstrated ability to build zero‑exception security pipelines.
• Experience working in multi‑cloud (GCP, AWS) and on‑premises environments.
