Senior GCP DevOps Engineer

About the role

Lumenalta is looking for a Senior GCP DevOps Engineer with a strong DevSecOps mindset to join a high‑impact cloud platform engagement. The role is hands‑on and focuses on building secure CI/CD pipelines, hardening GCP infrastructure, and operationalizing Vertex AI workloads across a multi‑cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines with automated security gates, policy enforcement, and compliance checks.
• Architect and manage GKE/Kubernetes environments, including multi‑tenant cluster configuration and Workload Identity Federation.
• Provision and maintain GCP infrastructure using Terraform, supporting project‑per‑tenant setups and environment parity.
• Operationalize Vertex AI for long‑running batch jobs, handling scheduling, monitoring, and failure recovery.
• Design cross‑cloud networking (GCP ↔ AWS / on‑prem) using Partner Interconnect, IAP, and firewall topology.
• Lead pre‑production security hardening and deploy API gateways (Cloud Endpoints, Apigee) with authentication and rate‑limiting.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and cost‑optimization practices, ensuring reliability and FinOps accountability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define platform standards and reduce operational overhead.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional DevOps or platform engineering experience, primarily on GCP.
• Proven track record designing secure CI/CD pipelines with zero security exceptions.
• Senior‑level hands‑on experience with Google Kubernetes Engine and multi‑tenant architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and cost‑optimization.
