Senior Full Stack Java + Angular Developer

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Full Stack SSE Developer (remote only in Costa Rica or Peru) to design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications and backend microservices. The role covers the full software development lifecycle, from building RESTful services and user interfaces to troubleshooting production issues.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications and backend microservices using Java and Angular.
• Build scalable RESTful services and backend integrations.
• Develop high-performance user interfaces with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5 and SCSS.
• Apply OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns to write clean, maintainable code.
• Implement unit and integration tests and take part in code reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and troubleshoot complex technical and production issues.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years of backend development with Java (Java 11/17+ preferred).
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (v14+) and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns; experience with microservices and dependency injection frameworks such as Spring, Guice or Dagger.
• Knowledge of asynchronous and non-blocking programming, and of SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Upper-intermediate to advanced English; Bachelor's degree in a computer science-related field preferred.

Required skills

• Java, Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML5, SCSS, REST APIs, SQL, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine and Karma; Agile environments.
• Preferred: Angular 16/17, Standalone Components, Signals, Angular Material and CDK, gRPC, Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, cloud platforms, monorepos, feature flags, e-commerce or pricing/promotions experience.
