Senior Frontend JavaScript Design System Engineer

About the role

Coforge is hiring a Frontend JavaScript Design System Engineer (remote only in Costa Rica or Peru) to build and maintain reusable, scalable UI components and modules. The role covers schema-driven frontend solutions, translating UX/UI designs into responsive interfaces and ensuring adherence to design system standards.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable, scalable UI components and modules using TypeScript/JavaScript and component-based frameworks.
• Develop schema-driven frontend solutions that render content dynamically through configuration-based architectures.
• Translate UX/UI designs into pixel-perfect, responsive and cross-browser compatible interfaces.
• Integrate components across schemas, data pipelines, runtime rendering and CMS platforms.
• Develop automated unit, integration and regression tests to ensure component quality and stability.
• Ensure adherence to design system standards, performance requirements and frontend best practices, and optimize component maintainability and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and navigate complex codebases with minimal supervision.

Required profile

• 7+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building schema-driven and data-driven UI components.
• Ability to adapt quickly to proprietary frameworks and internal development ecosystems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously; upper-intermediate to advanced English.

Required skills

• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript; React, Angular, Vue or similar component-driven frameworks.
• Advanced CSS, SCSS/Sass, Flexbox, CSS Grid, responsive design and design tokens.
• Automated testing with Jest, Jasmine, Karma or similar.
• Git and modern software development practices.
• Preferred: design systems, CMS-driven architectures, WCAG/a11y, Wiz framework, and experience with large-scale, high-traffic platforms.
