Senior Backend Developer (Scala) – Cloud Data Platform

About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help build a modern, cloud‑native data processing platform. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that handle large‑scale data workloads across AWS and Google Cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala.
• Build and enhance distributed systems that process large‑scale data workloads.
• Develop integrations with cloud services across AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using cloud‑native identity services.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud‑based environments.
• Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, component, and integration testing.

Required profile

• Senior‑level software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, resilient backend services.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS and GCP) in production environments.
