Risk & Compliance Manager – Health & Safety

About the role

As the Risk & Compliance Manager you will lead the development and implementation of Atlas' global Health & Safety program across more than 160 countries, working closely with the Director of Risk & Compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, interpret and implement occupational health & safety legislation and standards across jurisdictions.
• Conduct workplace hazard identification and risk assessments for diverse client industries and work environments.
• Partner with Sales to assess H&S risk for new industry expansions and provide risk tiering.
• Maintain a database of country‑specific OHS rules, regulations and reporting requirements.
• Manage rollout of the incident management module in the GRC tool and support investigations.
• Support design and delivery of OHS training programs and ensure anti‑harassment and psychosocial safety policies are localized.
• Develop and maintain OHS policies, SOPs and frameworks aligned with ISO 45001 and best practice.
• Collaborate with HR, Operations, Legal, Data Privacy and other functions to operationalize H&S requirements globally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, environmental health & safety or a related field.
• 5+ years progressive experience in OHS, preferably in multi‑site/multi‑country environments.
• Strong project management, organizational and detail‑orientation skills.
• Ability to lead teams under pressure during incidents.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of international OHS standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 45001).
• Hazard and risk assessment methodologies.
