Quality Assurance Intern – Alajuela

About the role

Bayer is looking for a proactive pharmacy student to join its Quality Assurance (QA) team in Alajuela. The intern will support a process analysis and improvement project, focusing on efficiency, regulatory compliance, and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Document and map current QA processes, including minor deviation management, routine document review/approval, and post‑activity document release.
• Identify duplicate steps, unnecessary wait times, frequent re‑work, and non‑value‑added reviews.
• Coordinate meetings with process stakeholders to validate information and gather improvement opportunities.
• Review internal and external regulations to ensure proposed changes remain compliant.
• Develop and propose optimization solutions to improve clarity, speed, and efficiency.
• Support a pilot improvement plan, monitor results, and capture lessons learned.
• Prepare clear deliverables such as process maps, analyses, proposals, and conclusions for the QA team.

Required profile

• Advanced pharmacy student with a letter of authorization and support from the educational institution, including student insurance coverage.
• Willingness to sign a practice agreement between student, university, and Bayer.
• Internship required for graduation or curriculum, full‑time from September 2026 to February 2027.
• Easy access to the Alajuela free‑zone area.
• High level of English proficiency.
