Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Baytek, a Datacor company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join its Development group. You will help ensure the reliability of mission‑critical Laboratory Information Management Systems and Quality Control software by designing, executing, and maintaining both manual and automated test suites throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute thorough manual and automated quality tests before product releases.
• Identify, report, document, and track bugs and feature requests during software development.
• Run test cases using existing and future test frameworks, compile results, and analyze failures.
• Develop or use tools to import, process, visualize, and analyze raw process data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to script and debug programs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and basic familiarity with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience with WebDriverIO or Playwright testing frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and ability to collaborate with teams in Costa Rica and the US.
