Purchasing Support Associate

About the role

The Purchasing Support Associate assists the procurement team in processing purchase orders, monitoring supplier deliveries, and ensuring that materials are available when needed. This role works closely with both external suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep the supply chain flowing smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders in SAP and other business systems.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and expedite orders when required.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement data.
• Support basic analysis of supplier performance, purchasing trends, and inventory levels.
• Communicate regularly with internal teams to resolve routine supply issues.
• Ensure compliance with company management systems such as MESH, LEAN, EQS, eMMAc, EBE, and ISO.

Required profile

• Technical degree or university studies in Supply Chain, customs, administration, industrial production or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement support role.
• Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and customer‑care skills when interacting with internal and external partners.
