Product Master Data Transformation Engineer

About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring a Product Master Data Transformation Engineer in Heredia, Costa Rica, working onsite at an HPE office. The role supports daily Product Master Data operations within HPE's Product and Services Data Operations (PSDO) organization, keeping data accurate and consistent across SAP S/4HANA, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and legacy systems. It covers data maintenance, order fallout resolution, data governance and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update product master data in SAP S/4HANA, PLM and legacy systems, including Material Master, BOM and Variant Configuration
• Resolve product master data issues affecting order processing and support the resolution of order fallouts to limit revenue loss and delays
• Validate data quality, investigate root causes and implement corrective actions, following ISO 9000-aligned documentation and data governance standards
• Maintain operational reports, dashboards and metrics, and prepare training materials
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes, and support AI-enabled tools, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma and digital transformation initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Typically 4-6 years of experience in product master data, SAP Material Master, PLM or related enterprise data management
• Hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience (Material Master, BOM, Variant Configuration) and PLM experience
• Advanced written and spoken English

Required skills

• Product master data processes, data validation and root cause analysis
• Data governance, process documentation and quality control
• Preferred: familiarity with HPE internal systems, SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Power and AI tools
