Procurement Specialist III – Lab OEM

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Procurement Specialist III focused on Lab OEM categories. In this role you will manage and continuously improve spend, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and drive global sourcing initiatives that support the company’s mission to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global OEM supplier initiatives to achieve savings, inflation mitigation, supplier rationalization and risk mitigation.
• Develop and execute 3‑to‑5‑year global sourcing and OEM supplier strategies aligned with business priorities.
• Analyze cross‑divisional Lab OEM spend and create strategic sourcing plans to reduce total cost of ownership.
• Coordinate with Category Managers and business divisions to ensure alignment of supplier performance and financial targets.
• Manage OEM supplier lifecycle, including onboarding during new product introductions and ongoing performance management.
• Monitor market intelligence and OEM trends to refine sourcing strategies.
• Partner with product management, operations, quality and other functions to drive supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost and service metrics.
• Support make‑versus‑OEM analyses, value analysis and value engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing global OEM supplier initiatives and delivering measurable cost savings.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop strategic sourcing plans.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams including sourcing, operations, finance and technical groups.
• Ability to monitor market trends and translate insights into actionable sourcing strategies.
• Experience in supplier lifecycle management, including onboarding during new product introductions.
