Payment Fraud Data Analyst

About the role

HP Inc. is seeking a Payment Fraud Data Analyst to support its global fraud prevention initiatives. The role will work within the HP Payment Fraud team, part of the Legal Trust & Privacy organization, to analyze transaction data, develop and maintain fraud detection models, and produce actionable insights that reduce payment risk.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data analysis and mining to identify suspicious behavior, trends, outliers and anomalies.
• Conduct ad‑hoc investigative and statistical analytics to support risk investigations.
• Execute link analysis to uncover new fraud patterns and develop operational metrics and benchmarks.
• Adjust, maintain and validate fraud detection models for real‑time online transactions.
• Generate regular and ad‑hoc reports, monitor key performance indicators and ensure compliance with financial security regulations.
• Maintain user access to fraud prevention systems and recommend enhancements or new tools.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to coordinate fraud investigations.

Required profile

• Experience in data analysis, statistical analytics and fraud detection.
• Familiarity with risk modeling, link analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of financial industry security regulations and consumer privacy laws.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
