Maintenance Supervisor – Shift B (Heredia)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team on Shift B at our Heredia site (Zona Franca Metropolitana). The role involves overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe work environment and high equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a work environment free of accidents and ensure compliance with all EHS procedures.
• Lead, develop and coordinate the functional group of technicians, adhering to organizational policies and corporate objectives.
• Ensure technicians follow and continuously improve maintenance procedures.
• Control and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities using the BMRAM software.
• Support internal and external audits for VIANT Costa Rica and provide required reports.
• Lead equipment repairs according to the schedule of the competent area and coach production personnel on safe and productive equipment operation.
• Develop and maintain a spare‑part list for facilities and manufacturing equipment.
• Negotiate with internal areas for installation and maintenance of equipment, and schedule priorities according to production requirements.
• Train technicians on policies, procedures and maintenance practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of production processes and maintenance strategies to increase equipment availability.
• Manage the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate and supervise contractor activities, ensuring quality and compliance with Viant Medical standards.
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and record‑keep according to SOPs.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Ability to train and develop technicians on maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to foster a collaborative culture.
• Experience supporting audits and preparing related documentation.
• Capability to negotiate with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
