Lead Data Engineer – Databricks (Remote)

About the role

We partner with global enterprises to design and scale data platforms that serve millions of users. As a Tech Lead in Data Engineering, you will drive the technical direction of data initiatives while staying hands‑on, bridging architecture, execution, and people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical direction and architecture of data engineering projects.
• Design and build scalable, production‑grade data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, AWS, and SQL.
• Lead by example through hands‑on development, code reviews, and technical decision‑making.
• Mentor and guide data engineers, promoting clean code and high engineering standards.
• Drive architectural discussions, evaluate trade‑offs, and shape long‑term technical vision.
• Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering stakeholders to deliver enterprise‑scale data solutions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Data Engineer, or similar position.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Willingness to maintain at least a 6‑hour overlap with U.S. Pacific, Central, or Eastern business hours.
