IT Network Administrator II

About the role

Bill Gosling Outsourcing is seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator II to manage, operate, and maintain its global network infrastructure. The role involves hands‑on technical work, monitoring security, resolving incidents, and supporting a rotating 24/7 schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Cisco and multi‑vendor network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, IPS/IDS, and wireless controllers.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and perform performance tuning to ensure high availability.
• Configure and maintain WAN/LAN, VLANs, QoS, VPNs (including Cisco AnyConnect) and routing protocols.
• Enforce network security policies using firewalls, IDS/IPS, ACLs, and NAC solutions.
• Document network architecture, conduct disaster‑recovery planning, and support compliance audits.
• Provide on‑call support and work rotating shifts to guarantee 24/7 network uptime.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.

Required skills

• Cisco routers (ISR, ASR) and switches (Catalyst, Nexus).
• Cisco firewalls (ASA, FTD) and other firewalls (FortiGate, Palo Alto).
• Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP, VRRP.
• Network protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• WAN/LAN technologies, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, VPN, Cisco AnyConnect.
• Network security tools: IDS/IPS, ACLs, NAC.
• Monitoring and analysis tools: Wireshark, SolarWinds, packet capture, CLI utilities.
