About the role
Syniverse is seeking a Roaming Testing Engineer I to execute IREG testing based on GSM standards. The role focuses on setting up and testing roaming partners, ensuring new roaming agreements are implemented correctly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain IREG testing procedures while adhering to GSM standards.
- Provide switching and signaling support for roaming partner setup.
- Perform network translations to establish roaming services.
- Schedule and execute IREG tests for new roaming partners.
- Troubleshoot SS7 messages and resolve roaming service failures.
- Diagnose issues in switching, SGSN/GGSN, and SMSC related to roaming.
- Manage test plans, schedules, and documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience in IREG testing or technical customer support for roaming implementation.
- Strong analytical, multitasking, and communication abilities.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of working with limited supervision.
