Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) Manager

About the role

The Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) Manager leads the end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash cycle, ensuring accurate billing, efficient cash application, proactive collections, and effective dispute resolution. This role drives cash‑flow optimization, reduces bad‑debt exposure, and aligns closely with Sales, Operations, and Customer Success.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee billing, cash application, collections, and dispute‑management teams to ensure timely, contract‑compliant invoicing.
• Monitor daily cash posting, resolve unapplied cash, and drive collections strategies to lower DSO and improve aging buckets.
• Own AR KPIs (DSO, >90‑day aging, bad‑debt reserves, billing accuracy) and produce monthly executive dashboards.
• Lead automation initiatives such as invoice delivery automation, EDI, and portal integrations; partner with IT on ERP enhancements (PeopleSoft, High Radius) and system integrations during acquisitions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and other functions on contract review, onboarding, dispute escalation, and integration of new business units.
• Ensure SOX and internal‑control compliance, monitor write‑offs, and maintain audit‑ready documentation.
• Develop and mentor billing, collections, and cash‑application teams, set annual goals, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of progressive experience in Invoice‑to‑Cash or Accounts Receivable, including billing, cash applications, and collections.
• 4–5 years of leadership experience in a global or shared‑service environment.
• Proven track record of improving DSO and cash flow.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
